That's a good point. Even though Hydroid does improve with this rework in some ways, he won't be able to compete with the other armor strip frames. Armor strip works even on eximus enemies for the other warframes. Hydroid's corrosive stacks likely cannot armor strip an eximus though since his stacks should be blocked by the enemy's overguard.With the Hydroid rework this feels like a *prime* time to bring him, his prime weapons and accessories back into circulation for people to obtain or purchase with Regal Aya, especially with the price of Hydroid Prime booming on the markets ahead of the Dagath update. But fully based on corrosive it's only him (makes sense, sea water is highly corrosive after all). Also, his new passive makes anything he hits once, be it with guns, melee or abilities, more vulnerable to corrosive damage from any source.Zephyr, if only because shes truly made of paper in comparison now. With his rework, Hydroid is at least somewhat tanky now, and wont die to a single random bullet until you get to absurd levels. Before Hydroid, there used to be Vauban, Ember and Wukong that were below him. Now, back then, these were truly garbage frames, especially Vauban. These were all reworked to be excellent or decent frames. Ember and Wukong became top-tier, while Vauban became just average. DE also looked at Hydroid very recently and gave him a small buff. Hydroid's rework also maintained his core weakness and, arguably emphasized it. Namely that hydroid is very dependent on high enemy density. Expensive AOEs that are only cost effective when hitting multiple targets and plunder which does not stack and literally scales with the number of victims. Using Hydroids 4 with Torid Incarnon is also good synergy. Amprex: Amprex has electric chaining built in. If you mod for Electric + Gas (took me a bit. Constantly moving mods around got it eventually for me) you can combine Hydroids 4, with his 1 (with the viral augment) and 3 to be dealing Corrosive/Viral/Gas and Electric pretty easily.
